A WikiTree profile for this person was created through the import of Stout - Trask - Cowan .ged on 19 April 2011 and follows a genealogy offered by Nichols for the Eyryk family of Stretton Magna in Leicestershire, though Nichols does not give an authority for his pedigree, "and there are not many documents to confirm its accuracy" is the comment made by the Rev. William George Dimmock Fletcher when presenting his biography of Bishop Robert De Stretton to the Leicestershire Architectural and Historical Society in 1887. The Rev. Fletcher agreed that Sir. William and his brothers were the sons of Robert and grandsons of John; but found no evidence for making John Eyrick the son of Henry Eycick.
