Parent of a Volga German
Family #103 in the 1775 Grimm census.
He is not specifically mentioned in the 1775 census, but his sons Johann Heinrich and Konrad are, along with their mother Elizabeta Tripper/Trimper. It does not appear that he traveled with his wife and children to Russia. He most likely died in Germany, well before 1766, giving his widow time to marry Mr. Tripper/Trimper and allow for his death, all prior to immigrating to Russia.
The 1775 and 1798 Census of the German Colony on the Volga, Lesnoy Karamysh, also known as Grimm; Published by the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA; Published date: 1995; family #103 in the 1775 census.
