Biography
William Acuff was born about 1778 in Virginia. He was purportedly the son of Cain Acuff/Ascough and Esther Kennedy. He married Magdaline Hall on 28 Jan 1804 in Grainger Co., TN [1].
Details of his death and burial are undetermined.
Research Notes
There are claims in online trees that William Acuff removed from Bledsoe County, Tennessee to Calhoun County, Alabama and married Sarah Whitaker (1810-) approximately 32 years his junior in 1836. While this is plausible, there don't seem to be any dots connected in documentary trail.
