Biography

Early Years: I was born at the home of my Grandmother Nellie Victoria Tucker in Attalla, Alabama. I then lived with my Mother Lola Christine Adcock , Father, Troy Lamar Adcock, Grandparents Troy and Lelia Adcock until I was two years old. Needless to say I was very spoiled. I was the first Grandchild born on both sides of my family.

So heres what i have so far. The Baldwin connection is obvious. James Knox Baldwin was John Thomas Lafayette Baldwins younger brother. They fought together in the Civil War. Do you know where James is buried ? Prospect Baptist Church cemetery right here in Polk County Georgia. The Tucker branch will need more research but heres what i have so far. My Ancestor is Nelson Tucker ( born in 1811 and lived in Campbell County Georgia). Nelson and Elizabeth had 12 children and the youngest was named Nelson Tucker. He is listed in both the 1860 Census and also the 1870 Census. Going by the dates he would have been born in either 1858 or 1859 in Cambell County Georgia. Tell me all the info you know about your Nelson Tucker in your tree.

Nelson Tarpley Tucker was my Great great Grandfather. His Son Wreno Tucker was my Great Grandfather. Richard Woodrow Tucker born 1913 died 1951 was my Mother’s Father. If you send me your email I can send you photos of Tombstone of Wreno and my Grandfather Richard Tucker. Look on findagrave website in OakHill Cemetery in Attalla, Etowah, Alabama. That is where some of my intermediate Tucker family is buried.

I think its very very possible that he is the same Nelson Tucker I show on these census records from Campbell / Douglas County Georgia but im not 100% sure yet. Other than being from georgia do you know where in Georgia ? or any other info ?
