Biography

Jude was born on 12 October 1811 in Willsborough, Essex, New York, United States. He was the son of Andrew Allen and Eunice (Miner) Allen.

Jude joined the new Mormon religion and was baptized in May 1832,^[1] making him an early member.

Jude Allen was a Latter Day Saint pioneer.

Around June 2, 1852, William and his family left the USA and headed to Deseret, Utah Territory to help settle as Mormon pioneers. They started their travel from Kanesville, Iowa (now known as Council Bluffs, Iowa) with the Benjamin Gardner Company^[3] and arrived in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah Territory on September 24, 1852.

When Jude was 48 he married Martha (Anglesey) Allen (abt.1812-1908) on 19 February 1860^[4] in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

When Jude was 54 he married Sarah (Anglesey) Allen (1846-1923) on February 3rd, 1866^[5] in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah.

Jude died at the age of 88 on 13 February 1900 in Calls Fort, Box Elder, Utah, United States and was buried in Calls Fort Cemetery ^[6]. Calls Fort is now Honeyville, Box Elder, Utah, United States.
