Biography
William was born in 1815. He passed away in 1894. William moved from Cuerden to Haigh about 1861. In the census of that year, he is staying with his brother Christopher, while his wife and children are still at Lidget Head, by what is now the A49. Christopher had become gamekeeper to the Earl of Crawford in 1852.
