Research Notes

  • Needs Relationship Review: The list of children appears to contain duplicated names (as opposed to children that died at a young age). Spratlin-29 17:44, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

Name

  • The first name James is unsourced. Spratlin-29 17:44, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
  • AKA: James Lewis Revwar Amis
Some trees show James with a christening name of Revwar, however, to date no records have been cited supporting that assertion. Two trees have alluded to SAR documents, but none were presented.
Revwar, Rev War, Revolutionary War: Isn't it likely this is someone's personal annotation system indicating he was believed to have served in the Revolutionary War? Spratlin-29 17:44, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
  • This source, previously listed in the biography, does not prove the first name James, or the parents:
James Lewis Amis[8]
Son of William Daniel Amis and Hannah Daly Amis
