Marmaduke Anne was born about 1688 in Yorkshire, England.

"Marmaduke Anne Esq. of Frickley, a non juror in 1715, d. 18 Aug 1722 (Hunter). Will 15 Aug 1722, pr. at York, mar. Elizabeth dau. and coheiress of Robert Plumpton, B. 26 May 1692 (Hunter), remar. Wm. Knight, of Frickley."^[1]
