James David Aubrey was born in 1867 in Sandhurst, Colony of Victoria, son of James David Aubrey and Margaret Jones.[1]
James (31) married Sarah Elizabeth Maud Parkinson (26) (born in 1872 in Geelong, Colony of Victoria; daughter of James Francis Parkinson and Barbara Hay Taylor Sinclair) in 1899 in Victoria, Australia.[2] Their children were:

- Alan James Aubrey (1903–1971)
