Thomas was born about 1525. He was the son of Thomas Audley and an unknown mother^[1]

He was under 18 when his Uncle Thomas Audley KG died in 1544 ^[2]

He lived in Gosbecks, Colchester, Essex, England.

1588 His wife was identified as Beatrix in the will of brother John Audley and Beatrice in his own Will.

Thomas Audley of Gosbecks, and his brother John Audley of Berechurch, were commemorated with a brass on the west wall of Audley Chapel (St Michael’s, Berechurch-He died in 1584.

A stone was later added by son John and mentioned in his Will

Under this stone lie the bodies of Thomas Audley of Gosbecks, gent. [d. 7 July 1584] and of John Audley, gent. [d. 21 July 1588], both younger brothers unto Thomas Audley of Berechurch, esq., which stone was given to be so laid by the last will of John Audley, gent., son of the said Thomas Audley of Gosbecks, finished accordingly in [June 1599].^[4]
