Biography

John Audley, of London Bridge, citizen and grocer, was buried on 30 April 1589 at St. Magnus the Martyr, London Bridge. His will was made on 25 April 1589, and was proved on 6 May 1589 in P.C.C.; codicil was made on 26 April 1589, and proved in November 1589 in P.C.C.

He married first, —, dau. of —, and second, (license was dated on 11 May 1582) Cicely, widow of Edward Fettiplace, of St. Peter le Poer, London.^[1][2] She was remarried on 30 January 1591/2 at St. Magnus the Martyr, London Bridge (license was dated on 5 January 1591/2), to William Walthall, of St. Peter’s, Cornhill, Sheriff of London in 1606, who had had two wives previously, and who was buried at St. Peter’s, Cornhill.
