Biography
Damaso Augusto is a part of US Black heritage.
Damaso was born about 1843. In the 1860 census Damaso (age 17), student, was living with the Matheas family in Bangor Ward 3, Penobscot, Maine. Narcizo and Rosa Matheas were also immigrants from Cape Verde.[1]
