Biography

When Sherman Alvadore Augustus was born in February 1865 in Jeffersonville, Ohio, his father, David Conaway Augustus, was 39 and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Duff, was 36. He married Elizabeth J. Myers 6 Mar 1889. They had five children during their marriage. One daughter was Wilda Estella (Augustus) Smith (1892 - 1952) marked as private. He died in 1943 in Scranton, Iowa, at the age of 78. He is buried in Scranton Cemetery, Scranton.
