Biography

Matthew "Macky" Clifford Azure was born on August l, 1956 in Belcourt, ND to Peter C. and Delores (Malaterre) Azure.

Macky grew up and made his home with his family in rural St. John, ND. Macky attended Greatwalker Day School and Turtle Mountain Community School.

Macky was united in marriage to Ramona Allery on February 11, 1976. They had their marriage blessed on November 15, 2008 in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Dunseith, ND.

He worked as a carpenter and cement finisher. Macky enjoyed spending time with his family; his wife who was there to make him laugh and lift his spirits when he was not feeling well, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and his friends. Macky had special nicknames for many of his nieces and nephews.

He shared a special bond with his Mom and although he was very sick, he still walked over to visit her as often as possible. Macky loved to hunt, fish, garden, dance and play cards. Macky will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
