Biography

Joseph was born 16 Feb 1760. He is the son of Ebenezer Balch and Lois (Belden) Balch. There is a note on Familysearch that calls him "The Prophet". Joseph married Mary Watson (1765–1841) and had the following children:

Joseph was a Drummer Boy during the Revolutionary War. In 1794 he migrated to Williamstown, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and then to Johnstown, Fulton County, New York in 1810. Occupation: Silversmith & Clock Maker.

Joseph passed 05 Dec 1855 in Johnstown, Fulton, N.Y. On findagrave it says he died in church, during service
