Walter served in the 211 Regiment, 9th (Service) Battalion, Royal Fusiliers in the First World War. [4]
He passed away in 1917, age 24.

Serjeant BALL was the son of William John and Bertha Ball of 2, Brook Cottages, Kingsbridge, Devon. Remembered with honour ARRAS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France.
