Thomas George Barrett Lennard was born Douglas, Isle of Mann on 22 September 1842.[1] He was the son of George Barrett-Lennard and Jessie Barrett-Lennard nee Nairne.[2]
He enlisted in the British Army aged 20 years[3] He held the following ranks:
He served in the New Zealand wars and was awarded the New Zealand medal.[10][11]
He married Edith Mackenzie, daughter of John Mackenzie in 1873.[12] He divoced her in 1903.[13]
They had four children:
He passed away in 1908.
