Christina Dahlke 1883-1958
Funeral services were held Monday, May 12 at the United Lutheran CHurch at Leonard for Mrs. Emil Dahlke, who passed awa suddenly Wednesday, May 7 at 5 a.m. Christina Magdaline Dahlke was born April 1, 1883 of parents Christine and Andreas Bauer, in Ohrmberg, Germany. While yet an infant, she was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Germany. Mrs. Dahlke came to this country when she was 16 and lived in Herman, Minnesota. She has lived in Lon and Clearwater Counties. On March 3, 1903, she was married to Emil Dahlke at Elbow Lake. Mrs. Dahlke was a member of the ladies aid in Leonard. Survivors include her husband and eight children, Carl of Bagley; Mrs. L. Ranisate, Elsie, of Clearbrook; Mrs. Art Steenerson, Marie, of Bagley; Imil Jr., Clearbrook; Annie and Henry of Shevlin; Laura and Walter of Minneapolis; and 25 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Two sons, Fredrick and William preceded her in death.
