Robert L. "Bob" Beatty, 56, Kansas City, Missouri, died Sunday, December 3, 2000 at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 7, at Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Beatty was born July 6, 1944, in Knightstown, Indiana. He was an engineer at Union Pacific Railroad for 24 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. His spare time was spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Kathryn Beatty. Survivors include daughters, Victoria Lawson, Margaret Noble, and Robin Beatty; son, Gene Beatty; sisters, Rebecca Crump, Beatrice Nelson, Pamela Dicus, Brenda McGaw, Roberta Pickney, and Penny Keyes; and nine grandchildren.
For those of you who never got the chance to know him be assured he was a fine man.
