Birth

She was born in 19 March 1831 in the Kingdom of Württemberg.[1]

Occupation

In 1892 her profession was recorded as a baker.[2] In 1896 she is classified as a clerk.[3]

Marriage

Catherine married Henry Younghans (Heinrich Junghans) in 1853 or 1854, after the death of his first wife, Anna Maria Schwarz.

Death

A brief obituary notice states:

In Toledo, Ohio, on Wednesday, June 14, 1899, of dropsy,
Mrs. Catherine Younghans, relict of Henry Younghans,
age 72 years.[7]

Her death record says, more precisely, that she died of chronic (Glomerulo)nephritis which has edema as one of its symptoms.[8] The disease is a form of kidney failure.

She is buried in Section T, Lot 11, at Forest Cemetery, Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio.[9]
