Biography

Mary Joan Beller was born on 12 February 1925 in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin 'Frank' Beller and Catherine Connors.^[1]

She married Robert Kellogg on 29 June 1946 in Linn, Missouri.^[2] They had two sons by 1950,^[3] and would have six children altogether.

She died in 2005. She is buried in St. George's Cemetery in Linn, Missouri.

Mary "Joan" Kellogg, age 80, of Linn, Mo., died Saturday, May 21, 2005, surrounded by her loving family at the Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born February 12, 1925 in East St. Louis, Ill., the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Connors) Beller. She was married in Linn, Mo. to Robert Ray Kellogg who preceded her in death February 18, 1983.

A longtime resident of Linn, she graduated from the Linn R-2 High School. She taught school at the St. George School for several years, and was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue for several years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the St. George Church, Linn, Mo., and was a member of the Osage County Democrat Party where she had served as chairperson for several years.

Mrs. Kellogg was an avid bowler, loved to crochet, and enjoyed spending time at the casino playing the slot machines. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Kevin Kellogg and Billie Kellogg; and two brothers, Raymond Beller and Jimmie Beller. Visitation will be from 4:30-8 p.m. Monday at Morton Funeral Home, Linn, Mo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at the St. George Church, Linn, Mo. Interment will follow at the St. George Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or to the Arthritis Foundation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Morton Funeral Home, Linn, Mo.^[4]
