Biography

Lawrence Mendenhall Berry was born on November 24, 1851, in Greenville, South Carolina, his father, Capt., was 23 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 21. He married Mary Elizabeth Bowen on November 26, 1872. They had 12 children in 17 years. He died on June 26, 1923, in Concord, North Carolina, at the age of 71, and was buried in Easley, South Carolina.
