Biography
Johannes Stephanus was born in 1826. He was the son of Barend Jacobus Bester and Johanna Jacoba Coetzer. He was first married to Anna Elizabeth Robbertze (wrongly listed as Anna Gertruida Roberts on his death notice- see wife's death notice). His children from his first marriage: 1. Magdalena Johanna Catharina Bester, married to G.S. Coetzee 2. Barend Jacobus Bester 3. Johanna Jacoba Bester, married to K.I Pansegrouw 4. Anna Gertruida Adriana Bester married to W.H.S. Brummer
His second marriage was to Wilhelmina Lodevica Pansegrouw. Their children are listed as: 1. Wilhelmina Lodevika Bester born 26 March 1872 2. Johannes Stephanus Bester born 26 April 1877 3. Johan Jacob Bester born 20 Sep 1881
He passed away in 1892, aged 75 years old.
