"Son of George Edmond Bishoff (1843-1915) and Martha A. (Sisler) Bishoff (1845-1914)

Married Mary Lucretia Lowdermilk in 1896. Of this union, three children: Ezra Hobart, Chester Koontz, and Martha Marie.

Married Odessa May Friend in 1906. Of this union, two children: George Emerson and Verba Roselle.[1]

Thomas Bishoff Dies Suddenly in Oakland - Chief Judge of Orphans' Court Succumbs to Heart Attack

Oakland. April 12 – Thomas E. Bishoff, chief judge of the Orphans' Court of Garrett County, was found dead in his bed this morning at his home on Third Street. Death was due to a heart attack.

He was born at Friendsville, this county, November 8, 1871, a son of the late George and Martha Bishoff and was 71 years of age.

His first wife, Mary Lowdermilk, died in 1902. In 1906 he married Odessa Friend. Surviving are his widow, two children by his first wife, Hobart Bishoff, of Hoyes; and Chester Bishoff, Keyser, W. Va.; and two children by his second wife, Emerson G. Bishoff, of Hoyes; and Mrs. Roselle Gow, of Frederick.

Mr. Bishoff was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist church, Oakland, the Knights of Pythias Lodge, and was serving his fourth term as judge of the Orphans' Court.

Also surviving are one brother, William E. Bishoff, of Norfolk, Va.; and three sisters, Mrs. H. P. Miller, of Salisbury, Pa.; Mrs. Henry Casteel, Grafton, W.Va., Mrs. Paul Mitchell, Oakland; and nine great grandchildren.[2] [1]
