Biography
Born Leslie Gordon Blanchett-Burton (1). Mother believed to be Mary Margaret Blanchett (2,3), father not recorded in birth record (1). Adopted by Burton family from Auckland (3). At time of marriage to Nita Lowe in 1931 was recorded as 'Leslie Richard Randal Burton' (4). Was Leslie Burton at time of son Leslie's birth in 1932 (5) , although son later appears to have reverted to Leslie Blanchett (6). Changed again to Leslie Blanchett-Burton by time of death (7).
