Mary Töpper was born on 26 January 1864 in Mecklenburg, Germany. [1]
She departed Hamburg for the United States on 2 November 1865 on the ship Senator Iken. [2] She was traveling with her parents Ludwig and Sophia Töpper. [2] She arrived in New York on 2 January 1866. [3] She and her mother were now listed as part of the family of Wilhelm Block. [3]
She appeared in the 1870 US Census in Green Garden, Will County, Illinois. [4] She was living with her parents and her siblings Anna, Fredericka, and Frederich. [4]
She appeared in the 1880 US Census in Green Garden. [5] She was living with her parents and her siblings Anna, Fredericka, Elise, and Mine. [5]
She married Carl Genens on 20 December 1882 in Peotone Township, Will County, Illinois. [6]
