Biography

Maria was born in 1855 in Barnstaple^[1].

In 1861 she was living in the home of her parents, James and Rebecca Boaden in Barnstaple^[2]. She was still with them in 1871^[3] employed as a lace worker, but her younger brothers were not in the household at that time.

Maria married John Popham in 1873^[4].
