Everett was born in 1920. He was the son of George Bohnenstiehl and Mathilda Steinkoenig. He passed away in 2009.

Everett G. Bohnenstiehl, age 88, of Lebanon, formerly of St. Jacob, IL, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, IL. He was born September 16, 1920, in Edwardsville, IL, the son of George and Mathilda (Steinkoenig) Bohnenstiehl. On September 16, 1941, he married Vivette A. "Peggy" (DeForest) Bohnenstiehl, who passed away April 26, 1995. Everett grew up between Marine and St. Jacob and attended Steinkoenig School. He started working at Granite City Steel in 1950. He also hauled milk for Clarence Kohne and helped Everette Pyle farm. He retired in 1983 from Granite City Steel as a Crain Operator. He continued to farm, and drove a school bus for 14 years. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, spending time with his family, raising roses at his home, and working in his garden. He had moved to Lebanon in 2007. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon. He was also a member of Helvetia Sharpshooters Society in Highland, United Steel Workers Local #16; Retirees Club. Survivors are six sons and one daughter, a brother and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
