Biography

Martha (Bort) Burgess is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford, Illinois.

Martha was born in 1868. She was the daughter Alanson Bort and Louisa Crocker. ^[1]

In 1888 she married Charles Henderson. ^[2]

Charles died in 1899. In 1900 she was living with her children in Lovell Township, Iowa. ^[3]

In 1901 she married Cecil Dent in Wisconsin. ^[4]

They lived in Rockford, Illinois. ^[5]

They had no children.

Cecil died during the Flu epidemic in 1918.

In 1920 she lived with her two sons in Rockford. ^[6]

She married Theodore M Burgess in 1922.

Martha passed away in 1962. ^{[7] [8]}
