Joseph was born about 1805.

On ?5? July 1841, Angélique Boursier, daughter of Boursier and Hénaskinea, was baptized at St. Peter (now Mendota, Minnesota) by Father Lucien Galtier:^[1]

L'an de N[otre] S[eigneur] 1841 et le ?5? juillet 1841, je sous signé prêtre des servaut les envirous de St Pierre certifie avoir baptisé Angélique âgée de 6 ans environ fille de Boursier et de Hénaskinea (?visage? enragé) a été parrain Louis Martin et marraine Cécile Turpin Robinet enfoide ce j'ai signé. L. Galtier ptre^{[1] [2]}

Translation: In the year of Our Lord 1841 and on ?5? July 1841, I under signed priest of the servitude of the surroundings/vicinity of St. Peter certify [I] have baptized Angelique aged about 6 years daughter of Boursier and Hénaskinea (angry ?face?) was godfather Louis Martin and godmother Cécile Turpin [Robinette] [who] confirm what I signed L. Galtier priest^{[1] [3]}
