Samuel Brandram son of James and Mary Brandram baptized 21 Feb 1742 (or 1743?)

findmypast from familysearch has two entries one for 21 Feb 1742, the other for 21 Feb 1743, both only with transcript, no scan. This is probably because January and February 1742 are placed after December 1742 and so are actually 1743 as was common in 18th century England. However, this is uncertain because the sources do not include a scan or microfilm of the original register.

On Wednesday morning, at his seat at Lee, in Kent, in the 67th year of his age, deeply lamented by all who knew him, Samuel Brandram, Esq. by which event his affectionate family and numerous friends have sustained an irreparable loss. For nobleness and liberality of mind, for warmth of friendship, disinterestedness of character, inflexible integrity, fairness of dealing, and mercantile knowledge, he has not left his superior behind him.

Samuel Brandram, died 1808

The text says he died on “11 Nov”, but in the inscription clearly legible on the photograph, the numbers are Roman numerals so that II = two, not ordinary numerals: 11 = eleven.
