Biography

James Brockbank was born in about 1813 in Limerigg, Westmorland. He was the son of Isaac and Betty Brockbank. He was christened on 30 Nov 1813 in Selside, Westmorland.

James married Jemima Western on 24 Oct 1846 at St Oswald's Church in Warton near Lancaster, Lancashire. Both were of full age (21 or more) and living in Warton, and neither had been married before. James was a stone mason. Their fathers were named as Isaac Brockbank (husbandman) and Philip Western (deceased). The witnesses were James Wilson and Nancy Parkinson.
