He is the son of John Bronson and Sarah Ventris.
After the death of Rachel he married Mary Peck, daughter of Benjamin and Sarah (Sperry) Peck, on 17 Apr 1709 at Farmington, Hartford, CT - their children were Mary, James, Rachel and Ruth Bronson
