Biography
Edward was born in 1827, probably in Columbiana, Ohio.[1] (See Research Note) He was the son of Harper Brosius and Phen Gatchell. " He passed away in 1847 at the age of 19.[2]

FindAGrave comment: "According to Quaker monthly meeting records, his parents requested a move to the Salem, Ohio meeting on April 10, 1829. This request was for Harper, Phebe and their minor son Edward. Therefore, his birth had to have happened in Pennsylvania."[2]
