Biography

Hilda was born about 1900. She is the daughter of Edward Brothwell and Elizabeth Unknown.

In the 1901 census, Edward Brothwell (34 b Quarrington, Lincolnshire), a Fruit Dealer Shop (owner), was head of household at St Patricks, Deritend, Aston, Warwickshire. Also present were his wife Elizabeth (29 b Darlaston, Staffordshire), and their children Elsie (6 b Birmingham), Lucy M (4 b Birmingham), Hilda (1 b Birmingham), and a relative Elizabeth Brothwell (43 b Ropsley, Lincolnshire).

In the 1911 census, Edward Brothwell (44 b Quarrington, Lincolnshire), a Green Grocery Shop Keeper, was head of household at St George, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Also present were his wife Elizabeth (39 b Wednesbury, Staffordshire), and their children Elsie (16 b Birmingham), Lucy Maud (14 b Birmingham), and Hilda (11 b Birmingham).
