21 May 1834, Deed of Trust executed by Littleberry G. Brown in Prince Edward County mentions lands of his "father Joseph Brown" and grandfather "John C. Brown late of Buckingham County".[6]
6 Aug 1836, rec. 16 Mar 1838, Deed of Trust Littleberry Brown in Prince Edward County sells 400 acres joining lands of James Mickle, Joel Elam, James Hix, (tools, etc.) plus all his interest in my father's and grandfather's land in Buckingham adjoining the lands of John L. Bocock, plus slaves: Alcey, Hall, Estes, Brister, Dicey, Tillice; to his four children: Harriet D., Frances A., Cary C., and John G. Brown to be divided equally after his debt would be paid in full[7]
