Biography

In the Rev War pension statement for the War Service of Peter & John Brown it states they came to Washington NC on February 1, 1780, he purchased a tract of land from Capt. Robert Sevier

Brown's purchase 1780- Watauga .

On March 20, 1780, Peter Brown and his son, John, purchased another tract of land from Capt. Robert Sevier on the Southeast branch of Boone's Track and on the Northwest side of Indian Ridge in Washington County, joining Sharp and Harris and George Russell's" lines. -This 'transaction was for the Sum of Four Thousand, Four hundred Pounds current money of said State.

Both Peter and his son John Brown served in the REV WAR. Peter for with the Maryland Troops and John fought at Kings Mountain.
