Cloyde always placed April Fools day jokes on everyone and when he died it was in April 1st. His granddaughter Delores stayed home from school 3 days as it was a distance to travel to the place where his wife lived. Delores's 6th grade teacher marked her as illegal absence because she said Cloyde was not a relative.
Cloyde always told the grandchildren his mustache was his cookie duster which made them laugh.
