William was born in 1839. He passed away in 1897. He was a veteran of the American Civil War.

MILITARY - Civil War - Union Army William enlisted in Co B, PA 55th Infantry Reg't on 27 Jun 1863 and mustered out on 26 Aug 1863. He reenlisted in Co M, MI 6th Cavalry Reg't on 07 Apr 1865 at Coldwater, Branch Co, MI and mustered out on 17 Nov 1865. He transferred to Co B, MI 1st Cavalry Reg't on 17 Nov 1865 and mustered out on 10 Mar 1866 at Salt Lake City, UT.
