Biography

Malcolm Burr was born in Blackheath, Kent, England.

Malcolm Burr was born on 6 Jul 1878 in Blackheath, Kent, England to parents Arthur Burr and Fanny Whistler. Blackheath is 6 miles SE of central London and is now on the border of the London borough of Greenwich and Lewisham. Malcolm's birth was registered in the first quarter of 1879 in Greenwich.^[1]

In 1881 he was age 2 and living with his parents and brother Raymond in Wandsworth, London, Surrey, England.^[2]

In 1901 he was age 23 and a student at New College, Oxford and living with his parents in Lingfield, Surrey, England.^[3]

He married Clara Millicent Goode on 30 Mar 1903 in Holy Trinity Church, London, England.

In 1911 he was age 32 and the Managing Director, Deputy Director, and Geological Adviser of the Conefield and Coniery Companies. He was living with his wife and three daughters in Dover, Kent, England.^[7]

In 1953 they were living in Bebek, Istanbul, Turkey, where they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.^[8]

He died at age 76 in an accident in Istanbul, Turkey on 13 July 1954.^[9] He was buried in the Haidar Pasha Cemetery, Istanbul, Turkey.^[10]
