Enville – Travis Canaday, 69, chief of security at Freed-Hardeman College, died yesterday at Jackson –Madison County General Hospital after a two-week illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Casey Funeral Home in Henderson with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery here. Mr. Canaday was an Enville native. He was a member of the Chester County Farm Bureau, and was chairman of the Chester County Democratic Party during the terms of former governors Frank Clement and Buford Ellington. He was a Mason and a member of Al Chumia Shrine in Memphis. He served as a clerk and master of the chancery court of Chester County for several years in the 1970s. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margie Bullman Canaday; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Tenry and Mrs. Lucille Tenry, both of Enville, and Mrs. Pauline McCombs of Memphis, and a brother, Lee Canaday of Enville.
