David was born in 1852. [1] He is the son of John Capel and Margaret Maddern.

He was killed in the Crenver and Abraham mine, accidental death, in 1871, aged 19 and was buried on 18 October 1871 at Gwinear. [4] [5] Inquest 25 October 1871 held at the Leedstown Inn. [6]
