Alfred Cartwright was born on 13 December 1872 in Wilstone, Hertfordshire, England and was christened on 24 Mar 1876 in Tring, Hertfordshire. [1] His parents were William and Sarah Cartwright.
According to the census of 1881, the family was living in Tring. The members of the family group were: [2]
