He passed away in 1867. [1] His probate record reads;
- The Will of the Reverend Theodore John Cartwright late of Preston Bagot in the County of Warwick, Clerk, Rector of Preston Bagot aforesaid deceases who died 5 October 1867 at Lucerne in Switzerland and was proved at Birmingham by the oaths of Richard Foley Onslow of Newent in the County of Gloucester Esquire and John Smith of Stoke D'Abernon in the County of Surrey Esquire, the executors. [2]
