BIRTH Benjamin Franklin Cator, Sr., born February 10, 1824 to Joseph Cator (1778–1852) and Hannah Brohawn (1786–1853) of Dorchester County, MD. It has been stated that he was born in Charlottesville, VA and then removed to Dorchester for his upbringing. Brothers William, and Robinson were born on a plantation near Cambridge in Dorchester County, MD. This house, dating back to 1710, stood on the east side of Cators Cove in Hoopers Neck. 1885 Census for Baltimore, MD. After his passing, his widow Sallie A. Mc Namara Cator lived in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1885. And per the Baltimore City Directory, she was the widow of Benjamin F. Cator. She boards/lives at St. Paul Street, which is the home of her husband's brother George Cator.
1907 Death of his widow Sallie A. Mc Namara Cator She died on November 24, 1907, when she was 75 years old. She was living at 803 St. Paul Street in Baltimore (part of Roland Park) when she passed away after having been ill for about two weeks. The funeral service was at Christ Protestant Church.
