Biography

William was born about 1805 in Canterbury, Kent, England[1][2] and baptised 12th May 1805 at St. Alphage, Canterbury, Kent, the son of William Chalk and Mary Vincent[3][4].

William Chalk of All Souls, St. Marylebone, bachelor married Emily Hill of All Souls, St. Marylebone, spinster on the 20th March 1833 at All Souls, St. Marylebone, Middlesex, England. Witnessed by Alfred Westwood, Annette Connell and Emma Clark[5]

In 1837, William was living at the Infirmary {Royal Seabathing Hospital} at Margate when he signed a petition against the attack on the character of Francis William Cobb, esq.[6]

William Oliver Chalk married Jessie Ferrier Bushnan on the 3rd August 1864 at St. Andrew, Laverstock, Wiltshire, England. William Oliver Chalk, widower, Surgeon of 3 Nottingham Place, Marylebone, Middlesex, son of William Chalk (Gentleman) and Jessie Ferrier Bushnan, spinster of Laverstock, daughter of John Stevenson Bushnan (Doctor of Medicine). Witnessed by J. Stevenson Bushnan, Thomas Baker, ?. Kelsey, Margaret Greenfield, Edith Kelsey[7]

William Oliver Chalk of Norwood Green, Southall {Middlesex} passed away on the 21st November 1888 at Vine Cottage, Norwood Green, Middlesex, England.[8]

Probate at the Principle Registry on the 19th January 1889 to Jessie Ferrier Chalk, of Vine Cottage, widow, the relict the sole executrix. Personal Estate £468 10s 8d.[8]
