Biography
Philemon was born about March 1747. He was the son of Philemon Chalk and mother unknown. He was christened on 29th March 1747, in Shelley, Essex, England. [1]
Philemon married Hannah Horton on 16 May 1769 in Great Waltham, Essex. [2] The couple had one son, Philemon, who was born in High Easter, Essex, in about January 1770. [5] Hannah died in High Easter, Essex, in July 1771, at the age of 20. [7]
On the 22nd June, 1772, Philemon married Ann Patmore at St Mary the Virgin, High Easter, Essex. The transcript noted that Philemon was a widower, and Anna had not married before. Ann's father was a witness at the wedding. [3][4]
Philemon passed away in High Easter, Essex, England, and was buried there on 21 October 1806.
