Eliza married Josiah C. Patrick on 5 November 1833 in Wilkinson, Mississippi, United States.[2]As the widow of John Connell, the previous owner of Northumberland Place, she inherited that plantation.

In the 1850 census Eliza (age 42) was in Wilkinson, Mississippi, United States.[4]
Slaves
Upon the death of her husband John Connell, her minor son inherited the land and the enslaved. However, in the estate inventory of 10 Jan 1843, the land and the enslaved were the "subject of the dower of the widow of John Connell, dec'd and the following slaves." Her current husband Josiah Patrick was the guardian of the minor child.
