Tom Alexander Clafton was born about 1903 and baptised 28 Jan 1903 at Stourton, St Andrew, (Leeds), Yorkshire, England, son of George Edwin Clafton and Annie Eliza (Bush) Clafton. At that time his father was a Tram Driver, and the family was living at 5 Springrove Place.[1]
On 2nd Apr 1911, Tom Alexander Clafton, aged 8, was at School and living with his parents, brothers John & George, and grandfather John Bush (64, wid) at 72 St Michael’s Avenue, Melton Road, Leicester, Leicestershire. His birthplace was Leeds, Yorkshire.[2]
In 1927, Tom A. Clafton, aged about 24, married Clarice E.A. Walker, aged about 21, and the marriage was registered in Q4/1927 at Leicester, Leicestershire.[3]
On 29th Sep 1939, Tom A. Clafton, born 5th Jan 1903, aged 36 and married to Clarice E.A. (33), was a Hairdresser and living with his wife and daughter Patricia (5) at 110 Rosedale Avenue, Leicester, Leicestershire. He was an A.F.S. Volunteer Part Time.[4]
Tom Alexander Clafton, born 5th Jan 1903, died about 1986, aged 83, and his death was registered in May 1986 at Leicestershire Central, Leicestershire, England.[5]
