Biography
James was born in 1759. He was the son of Increase Clapp.[1]
He married Elizabeth Jenkins, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Nichols) Jenkins, in April of 1781 in Scituate, Massachusetts.[2]
He passed away in 1803.
Probate
His inventory was taken on 3 August 1803 in Scituate. His estate was represented as insolvent.[3]
In 1804, Daniel Jenkins of Scituate was appointed guardian of his minor children, Deborah Clapp, and James Clap, both above the age of 14 years, Daniel Clap, Jotham Clap, Serena Clap, and Arethura Clap, all under the age of 14 years.[4]
